France 2020-2021 Hotel Openings

  • Bordeaux – Hôtels Les Silos Bordeaux, îlot Bacalan (early 2021)

Marriott will soon open a 3-star (Moxy) and a 4-star (Renaissance) hotels in the Bordeaux maritime district, facing the Cité du Vin. The first one will include 133 rooms with bar-restaurant and fitness room, mainly dedicated to “Millenials” ; while the 4-star Renaissance will offer 150 rooms, targeting foreign business and leisure travelers.

  • Bordeaux – Meininger Hotel (1st semester 2021)

The Meininger Hotel Bordeaux is expected to offer 162 rooms nearby the city center, in the Bordeaux-St-Jean district.

With its captivating past, exclusive location and exceptional architecture, the completely refurbished Hotel du Palais will deliver on the brand promise of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt to create memorable experiences for travelers.


Located near the Alsace wine route, 40 minutes from Colmar and 15 minutes from Strasbourg city centre, the Citadines Eurometropole Strasbourg Appart’Hotel will offer a range of comfortable apartments, along with an array of services and amenities, including large meeting rooms, a restaurant with a patio, a bar, an indoor pool, a fitness area, a car park, and a spa with sauna, steam room and massage room.

It’s not common to see an 18th-century-style Alsatian house plonked on top of a 14-floor skyscraper. This is exactly what French architect Philippe Starck has in mind for the Metz’s first high-end hotel, calling it an ‘out-of-scale phantasmagoric’ design. The house will have a rooftop terrace and garden, 119 rooms, a fitness center, a restaurant and lounge bar.

  • Colmar – Village du Chasseur (November 2021)

Opening by the Maison Albar Hotels of a 5-star hotel in Colmar, during the Christmas market period. This hotel-village will be located nearby the historical center and will include 7 buildings with 71 luxury rooms, a bar, a brasserie and a gastronomic restaurant with a starred chef.


Opening of a 4-star hotel with an ideal location on the snow front, 83 rooms and a Nuxe wellness area.

After unveiling the exceptional Pearls chalets, the alpine palace Le K2 will open next winter a second hotel of about twenty rooms in Val d’Isère.

Airelles has joined forces with Monaco-based hospitality brand, JV Pastor Collection, on this exclusive mountainside chalet, which will re-open for the winter season as an Airelles-branded all-inclusive private chalet, available for weekly rental. 


The Crowne Plaza Nice – Grand Arenas enjoys a strategic location in the heart of the Eco Vallée business district, near the Nice International Airport. With 129 rooms and suites, the hotel aims to attract both business and leisure travelers.


  • Honfleur – Hôtel Eden Spa (late 2021)

A 3-star hotel will open at the foot of the Normandy bridge. It will be modern, and will include 56 rooms, including nine with panoramic view on the Normandy bridge.


  • Dijon – Aloft Hotel (Spring 2021)

The first Aloft Hotel in France will open in Dijon on Place Grangier, in the Hôtel des Postes de Dijon. A 4-star hotel which will include 93 lofts and numerous services and offer an original concept to its visitors, for a new “Lifestyle” experience in the heart of the city.


  • Toulouse – Eklo Hotel (June 2021)

Eklo Hotels, the young group of “eco, green and friendly” hotels is accelerating its development with the opening of a new 100-room hotel in the first five floors of a wooden tower – Wood’art Cartoucherie.
